Digivolution Chart - MetalKoromon by Chameleon-Veil Digivolution Chart - MetalKoromon by Chameleon-Veil
For a personal project to categorize the Digimon in evolution charts. All evolutions are straight lines, where the Digimon evolve through normal means.
This one is MetalKoromon, who belongs to the steely ranks of the Metal Empire! Onward, onward we march!

Based off of the Pendulum V-Pet, version 5: [link]

UPDATE 1.0: The evolution lines have been dramatically reworked; WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon have been removed, since they didn't work that well LOL.

Made in Photoshop CS4.

How would write Victorygreymon and Zeedgarurumon into one of your evolution charts?

Probably by making the charts into webs and adding them as extra branches. =w=

Here's a sample, and the only one I've really had the time to finish lately: i7.photobucket.com/albums/y299…

Thanks! Now if only I had the time and patience to finish all the others... w@ I might have to bend the rules of consistency I've been setting for myself... (IE trying to think of 4-5 Champions for each rookie without using any Champion more than twice etc. etc.)

That's Mekanorimon (digimon.wikia.com/wiki/Mekanor…. You've never heard of him?

I know what Mekanorimon is. I mean the one Datamon evolves INTO.

Oh! Sorry about that, I completely misread your question. That's EBEmon, he's typically used as the evolution of Vademon.

Pandamon to Justimon? That's strange.
Maybe line ToyAgumon -> Starmon -> SuperStarmon -> Justimon is better.
In DMO, Mekanorimon digivolve to Gigadrmon and he digivolves to Machinedramon.
Isn't Vademon better for Ebemon's ultimate form? Both of them are alien digimon.

And, I really don't understand how Kokuwamon belongs to Kuwagamon-species.

Kokuwamon doesn't. It's a machine Digimon and related to Kuwagamon in name and appearance only. Your suggestions for Vademon -> Ebemon and ToyAgumon >>> Justimon lines are great IMO, but they also fail to further address what I should do with Deputymon and Datamon afterwards. I don't mind suggestions on these, but the problem with a lot of suggestions I get is that they almost seem to want me to discard or forget about about certain Digimon, which goes against the goal of what I'm trying to do with this project.

In any case, I definitely agree with Mekanorimon -> Gigadramon -> Machinedramon, but it was more a matter of using Datamon in someone's line, and he didn't seem to fit anywhere else. I think Mekanorimon -> Datamon is almost equally as good as the former evolution if you look at how many features they have in common (with the only real separating factor being level of intelligence; Mekanorimon has almost none while Datamon is very smart). And while Ebemon IS pretty much Vademon's mega form, yeah, you gotta keep in mind that there are less Megas than Ultimates and only so many to go around. I felt that Ebemon's wires and firepower and brains and whatnot were fitting enough for it to be Datamon's final form too (I also considered Parasimon, but most people seem to think it's better as Arukenimon's Mega and due to its lack of machininess I'm somewhat inclined to agree).

As for the ToyAgumon line, I was planning to have ClearAgumon evolve to the Starmon line, since I feel its methods of attack make more sense with that family (Dream Missile is a twinkly star attack and so forth). I did need to use Deputymon somewhere and ToyAgumon seems like the best candidate. If you have another suggestion for evolutions from Deputymon, I'd be happy to hear those; he was admittedly rather difficult to come up with things for. Deputymon -> Pandamon -> Justimon was founded mainly on the red scarf of justice theme.

I found theory, maybe is a just fan theory about Kokuwamon evo line:
Kokuwamon -> BladeKuwagamon -> MetallifeKuwagamon -> GrandisKuwagamon.
BladeKuwagamon is machine digimon too.

I also see that you use many Mamemon-species digimon. So, I just suggest Tankdramon instead of MetalMamemon. (I know that Commandramon -> Seasldramon -> Tankdramon -> Darkdramon is canon).

For Datamon is hard to say anything. In Digimon world Dawn/Dusk, he digivolved from Raremon and he digivolves to Parasimon. I just don't see Datamon in that line. And, I believe that Guardromon can digivolve to Datamon/Gigadramon and Mekanorimon can digivolve to Andromon/Megadramon, most because they are robotic digimon with the similar brain.

For ToyAgumon I just suggest Omekamon as champion level digimon and SuperStarmon as ultimate. But, again, Starmon would be better than Omekamon.

At the end, this is your charts and you decide about evo lines.

Generally speaking, I don't put a lot of stock in the widely-accepted fan theories (or the evolutions in the Digimon Story series, for that matter); I find most of them to be pretty generally unimaginative and, in my opinion, unfitting. Tankmon -> Tankdramon is one of these, for instance; it just seems like people being lazy and drawing the connection to the easiest thing possible.

My own theory on the matter is that different Digimon are composed from different types of code, 'cut from different cloth', if you will. The Accelerator Digimon in particular (this includes guys like KoKabuterimon and Commandramon's lines) seem like they were designed to be exceptionally advanced; their descriptions often list them as being very powerful and sophisticated for their levels; Commandramon, for instance, is a rookie with a gun. Most Digimon don't acquire that kind of firepower until hitting Champion or even Ultimate level. The older Digimon, by contrast, have a genetic code of more 'primitive' data, such that they wouldn't be able to evolve into the more advanced Digimon-- they lack the capacity. It's like if you try to run a more modern program on an old version of Windows or something. It's just another fan theory, of course, but that's why you won't see things like Kokuwamon -> BladeKuwagamon or Tankmon -> Tankdramon and things like that.

And don't get me wrong, these aren't bad suggestions or anything. o3o It's just that some of them don't really work with the system I have going is all. (I'm also still not seeing any suggestions about what to do with Deputymon.) Incidentally, I do more or less agree with your opinions about Guardromon and Mekanorimon-- Andromon and Datamon are my preferred evolutions for the former, and Gigadramon + Datamon my preferences for the latter. ToyAgumon -> Omekamon also works bcuz legos (which is pretty funny IMO), although it's a bit of a shame that the connection ends there afterward... I might find something to do with that, but for time being, ToyAgumon's Champion forms aren't likely to change. Tankmon is still my favorite Champion form for him; I've grown to like making evolutionary connections through the habitats that some Digimon share in DW1.

Yeah, you know, I can see that making sense too! :O
The main reason I put him where I put him was because he was listed as the 'junk' Ultimate stage for his respective line, just like the other 'junk'-type or -descendant Digimon. Mainly following the V-pet there. ^__^'

Seeing as you seem to be unhappy with yours, I thought I'd let you know what I've settled on for ToyAgumon's lines. The perfect form for Revolmon I've been using recently is Volcamon, which I honestly think is near flawless. I've got Tankmon evolving into Locomon then GrandLocomon, which I also think is pretty good. Just something to think about if you still haven't found something.

Hmm. Well while I agree that Volcamon is a great evolution for Deputymon, OR Tankmon for that matter, I already used it on Golemon and am not reusing any Digimon within the Pendulum series if I can absolutely avoid it. x< I will look into what I can substitute for Volcamon in Golemon's lines, though I have a feeling nothing else will work as well. Locomon is a pretty good evo for Tankmon too, though I was planning to have the Locomons evolve from Blimpmon or Trailmon. I'll definitely consider them at least.

One idea I had that I'm sort of liking is Deputymon -> Pandamon -> Justimon, for the common theme of red scarves and passion for 'justice' or something haha. Cyberdramon could work in place of Pandamon since ToyAgumon means the line has at least some dragon DNA, but I had a feeling that this would work better. I do also really like MetalMamemon as an evolution for Tankmon, probably my favorite, but I've been trying to think of others to use as well (my only real problem with that line though is thinking of an evolution for MetalMamemon).

What I may do is:
Tankmon -> MetalMamemon -> Machinedramon (3/4 dragonish Digimon in the line including ToyAgumon)
Mekanorimon -> Datamon -> Bemoan
Deputymon -> Pandamon / Cyberdramon -> Justimon (Volcamon still an option)

and then in Monodramon's (secondary of course) line:
Monodramon -> Tuskmon -> Gigadramon -> Chaosdramon

Everyone I'm currently debating about gets used that way at least.

Fair enough. I have Golemon jogress with Tortomon to form Jagamon, but mine works very differently to yours, so plenty of conflict of interest there.
I wasn't sure what to do with Blimpmon actually, we'll see. I may not use the 2002 Digimon at all if I can avoid it.
Yes, not to sound like a Pokemon "genwunner" but I'm trying to stick as close to the Tamers and earlier Digimon as I can, because in my opinion after that the designs start to devolve into looking more like action figures than monsters.

Yes, Revolmon (actually had to look up wtf "Deputymon" was lol) > Pandamon > Justimon does work pretty well. Cyberdramon sort of breaks all of the links you had going though, even if it links with ToyAgumon. I actually have my Revolmon line evolving from Kokuwamon, with the rational being they are both living weapons with a giant version of the weapon as their body and a smaller version as/in their hands. Sort of imitates a policeman upgrading from a taser to a handgun too ^.^
I prefer MetalMamemon for Igamon.

I actually like Golemon + Gatomon => Jagamon. :3
Totally made up, but all are from that Nature Spirits group featured in the Pendulum/cards and I think it certainly works well enough.

Kokuwamon -> Deputymon is a good one too, perfectly acceptable in my book, and glad you agree with the Pandamon thing. Incidentally, Pandamon was one Digimon I thought of that might make a good evolution for Doggymon, and I had Betsumon suggested as potential evo for Doggymon as well.
....you've really never heard the name Deputymon? You must have watched the subs of the show, that was his dub name whenever he showed up in... hmm... I think Adventure 02 was his only real anime appearance, but I remember it fairly well. Oh well!

Ninjamon -> MetalMamemon is definitely good, not gonna lie, though I just feel like MetalMamemon is the best evolution for Tankmon, even if Ninjamon is his best prevo, you know what I mean? (...if not I don't blame you, doesn't make much sense exactly)

Golemon + Tailmon to Jagamon is pretty good! I just liked Tortomon 'cause Jagamon has Tortomon's feet (sort of).
I actually like Doggymon to Betsumon, may even use it myself, so it's a good suggestion imo. Pandamon does work too though.

Give me a break, I only ever watched the Zero Two dub once, and this was 12 years ago! >.<

Personally I think Locomon or Megadramon/Gigadramon are the best evo's for Tankmon, but whatever floats your boat.

Ahhhh, ToyAgumon -> Tankmon -> Megadramon would be great except that it has all three attributes together in that one line, which REALLY bugs me. x____X Just doesn't seem right somehow except in certain circumstances.... (IE, D'Arcmon -> HippoGryphomon -> Murmuxmon, one of the few instances where that seems plausible to me)

It's been a long time for me with the show too.... ;w; I wish I could find it online to watch somewhere... Adventure especially... Tamers and Frontier I rewatched recently, trying to get motivated to watch Savers at all, and can't find those first two seasons. =n=;
