Digivolution Chart - MetalKoromon by Chameleon-Veil Digivolution Chart - MetalKoromon by Chameleon-Veil
For a personal project to categorize the Digimon in evolution charts. All evolutions are straight lines, where the Digimon evolve through normal means.
This one is MetalKoromon, who belongs to the steely ranks of the Metal Empire! Onward, onward we march!

Based off of the Pendulum V-Pet, version 5: [link]

UPDATE 1.0: The evolution lines have been dramatically reworked; WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon have been removed, since they didn't work that well LOL.

Made in Photoshop CS4.

I know what Mekanorimon is. I mean the one Datamon evolves INTO.

Oh! Sorry about that, I completely misread your question. That's EBEmon, he's typically used as the evolution of Vademon.

Pandamon to Justimon? That's strange.
Maybe line ToyAgumon -> Starmon -> SuperStarmon -> Justimon is better.
In DMO, Mekanorimon digivolve to Gigadrmon and he digivolves to Machinedramon.
Isn't Vademon better for Ebemon's ultimate form? Both of them are alien digimon.

And, I really don't understand how Kokuwamon belongs to Kuwagamon-species.

Kokuwamon doesn't. It's a machine Digimon and related to Kuwagamon in name and appearance only. Your suggestions for Vademon -> Ebemon and ToyAgumon >>> Justimon lines are great IMO, but they also fail to further address what I should do with Deputymon and Datamon afterwards. I don't mind suggestions on these, but the problem with a lot of suggestions I get is that they almost seem to want me to discard or forget about about certain Digimon, which goes against the goal of what I'm trying to do with this project.

In any case, I definitely agree with Mekanorimon -> Gigadramon -> Machinedramon, but it was more a matter of using Datamon in someone's line, and he didn't seem to fit anywhere else. I think Mekanorimon -> Datamon is almost equally as good as the former evolution if you look at how many features they have in common (with the only real separating factor being level of intelligence; Mekanorimon has almost none while Datamon is very smart). And while Ebemon IS pretty much Vademon's mega form, yeah, you gotta keep in mind that there are less Megas than Ultimates and only so many to go around. I felt that Ebemon's wires and firepower and brains and whatnot were fitting enough for it to be Datamon's final form too (I also considered Parasimon, but most people seem to think it's better as Arukenimon's Mega and due to its lack of machininess I'm somewhat inclined to agree).

As for the ToyAgumon line, I was planning to have ClearAgumon evolve to the Starmon line, since I feel its methods of attack make more sense with that family (Dream Missile is a twinkly star attack and so forth). I did need to use Deputymon somewhere and ToyAgumon seems like the best candidate. If you have another suggestion for evolutions from Deputymon, I'd be happy to hear those; he was admittedly rather difficult to come up with things for. Deputymon -> Pandamon -> Justimon was founded mainly on the red scarf of justice theme.

I found theory, maybe is a just fan theory about Kokuwamon evo line:
Kokuwamon -> BladeKuwagamon -> MetallifeKuwagamon -> GrandisKuwagamon.
BladeKuwagamon is machine digimon too.

I also see that you use many Mamemon-species digimon. So, I just suggest Tankdramon instead of MetalMamemon. (I know that Commandramon -> Seasldramon -> Tankdramon -> Darkdramon is canon).

For Datamon is hard to say anything. In Digimon world Dawn/Dusk, he digivolved from Raremon and he digivolves to Parasimon. I just don't see Datamon in that line. And, I believe that Guardromon can digivolve to Datamon/Gigadramon and Mekanorimon can digivolve to Andromon/Megadramon, most because they are robotic digimon with the similar brain.

For ToyAgumon I just suggest Omekamon as champion level digimon and SuperStarmon as ultimate. But, again, Starmon would be better than Omekamon.

At the end, this is your charts and you decide about evo lines.

Generally speaking, I don't put a lot of stock in the widely-accepted fan theories (or the evolutions in the Digimon Story series, for that matter); I find most of them to be pretty generally unimaginative and, in my opinion, unfitting. Tankmon -> Tankdramon is one of these, for instance; it just seems like people being lazy and drawing the connection to the easiest thing possible.

My own theory on the matter is that different Digimon are composed from different types of code, 'cut from different cloth', if you will. The Accelerator Digimon in particular (this includes guys like KoKabuterimon and Commandramon's lines) seem like they were designed to be exceptionally advanced; their descriptions often list them as being very powerful and sophisticated for their levels; Commandramon, for instance, is a rookie with a gun. Most Digimon don't acquire that kind of firepower until hitting Champion or even Ultimate level. The older Digimon, by contrast, have a genetic code of more 'primitive' data, such that they wouldn't be able to evolve into the more advanced Digimon-- they lack the capacity. It's like if you try to run a more modern program on an old version of Windows or something. It's just another fan theory, of course, but that's why you won't see things like Kokuwamon -> BladeKuwagamon or Tankmon -> Tankdramon and things like that.

And don't get me wrong, these aren't bad suggestions or anything. o3o It's just that some of them don't really work with the system I have going is all. (I'm also still not seeing any suggestions about what to do with Deputymon.) Incidentally, I do more or less agree with your opinions about Guardromon and Mekanorimon-- Andromon and Datamon are my preferred evolutions for the former, and Gigadramon + Datamon my preferences for the latter. ToyAgumon -> Omekamon also works bcuz legos (which is pretty funny IMO), although it's a bit of a shame that the connection ends there afterward... I might find something to do with that, but for time being, ToyAgumon's Champion forms aren't likely to change. Tankmon is still my favorite Champion form for him; I've grown to like making evolutionary connections through the habitats that some Digimon share in DW1.
